This new product line contributed to winning the award "Creators of the year 2013" by Interfiliere in Paris.Available on Le Souk, the coal black flower lace is a mix of polyamide yarns for strength and durability. Meanwhile, the pure white all over Lace comes in a blend of polyamide and elastane for quality and flexibility; perfect for lingerie and hosiery.SolstissLocated in Caudry, Solstiss’ roots date back to 1879. But the business as we know it today was originally founded in the French town back in 1974. A group of four experienced lace makers established the company to preserve the tradition of lace making in Northern France. They believed that lace production was not a dead, but rather an art form still very much alive.Today, some forty years later, Solstiss is home to 6,000 original lace drawings and 30,000 colors in its permanent collection. Each year, they release two inspired seasonal collections, in addition to their permanent line, and bespoke designs created with clients - 25,000 of them, across 80 countries.Every piece of Solstiss lace begins with the in-house team of designers. After the initial sketch, a drafter adapts and modifies designs with advanced computer programs to prepare digital files of the pattern.Once the thread positions and the jacquard cards are created by the pointeur and puncher, the bobbins are filled with thread. The lace is woven, dyed, and embellished, and then combed by trained eyes for defects. Available on Le Souk, the floral leavers lace with a scalloped edge is a cotton-poly blend in matte black; perfect for lingerie. Meanwhile, the geometric leavers lace with scallop detail is a more modern-day lace in viscose rayon and nylon; its prism shapes acting as a picture for the eye on any feminine item.
