MTV Movie Awards: Stars Wear Colored Minis, Gothic Victoriana

The MTV Movie Awards for 2015 showcased two very different looks from the female stars. Colored, summer minis took on the somber hues of Victoriana goth, before a touch of Hepburn-glamor and fluoro tailoring balanced out the blue carpet.
- Scarlett Johansson in Zuhair MuradWith legs for days, Scarlett Johansson snubbed the mini-dress and the to-the-floor-gown for a feminine jumpsuit from Zuhair Murad's Pre-Fall 2015 collection.Opting for lobster pink, the slight flare of the pant through to the high, cinched waist remained minimal and easy until the starting of the hip, where tonal embroidery featured in a subtle fabric embellishment. Long sleeved and ultra tailored, the luxury catsuit finished up with spliced, leaf-like cutouts at the neck. Johansson accessorized with a mint-green clutch and Sophia Webster ‘Nicole Pineapple’ sandals.2. Cara Delevingne in Reem AcraSupermodel Cara Delevingne lead the fashion brat pack on Sunday night for the 2015 MTV Movie Awards in LA.The Londoner worked the carpet like it was her very own catwalk in a swishy, Reem Acra peasant mini-dress from the US designer's recent Fall 2015 collection. Coming in a dark marsala hue - the 2015 color of the year - the high-neck cut of the frock, with velvet belt, and intricate lace embroidery was a classic-goth look but modernized with a cropped length at the thigh.Somewhat wintry compared to the bright, summery vibe of the other gowns to walk the entrance rug, Delevingne's old glamor style shone as brightly as her fellow female stars.3. Brittany Snow in Brandon SunPitch Perfect actress, Brittany Snow wore a Brandon Sun Spring 2015 dress in statement color-block - the rose pink top softening the blazing scarlet of the red, which dyed the longline mini-skirt. Ultra elegant and looking ahead of her years, the red-and-pink dress cut sharp in silk - flatlined with a layered fabric piece to the neck, which turned a typical strapless bodice into a chic high-neck.A Lee Savage ‘Stack’ gold clutch added metallic reference to the Audrey Hepburn feel, based out with Jerome Rousseau embellished nude shoes.4. Bella Thorne in Peter PilottoCalifornia girl Bella Thorne donned a Peter Pilotto Spring 2015 A-line mini-dress in electric shades of blue and candy purple for the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.Decoration was key for the model/singer/actor, with abstract resin pieces flashing across her cropped frock's midsection. In intarsia geometric prints, the spinning colors were a somewhat peacock Aztec update - sleeveless and lacy, sheer at the neck.Thorne styled the look with matching violet sandals, making the purple pop.5. Hailee Steinfeld in RodarteRocking a textural frock, Hailee Steinfeld took a risk with a meshy, embroidered Rodarte gown from the LA label's Spring 2015 collection.Selecting a mossy green blouse in sheer chiffon, the Pitch Perfect 2 star's Victoriana-style top feminized the rest of her look. The high-waist skirt cinched the waist with wave-embroidery in teal, white and black, followed by a jagged-cut netting as the base in black.Her webbed, tie-up leather heels - also Rodarte - offered a rocked-up, artsy feel, to an outfit that referenced old-century England and French Moulin Rouge.
