Through this new project, the two brands want to offer an original interpretation of contemporary footwear, playing with a colorful, DIY-inspired look and have reinterpreted Veja’s V-10 and the new high-top V-15 models through Marni’s free-spirited aesthetic, expressed through a colorful scribbled motif that covers the upper shoe. At the intersection of craftsmanship and industrial work, each pair has been made in Brazil and assembled by hand, with the right foot different from the left one to further underline the sense of originality of the design.

Marni x Veja sneaker   Each style – available in two color variants, black or Marsala – is made with leather sourced in Uruguayan farms and tanned in Brazil, at a Gold-certified tannery by the Leather Working Group. Veja’s attention to production standards has also been reflected through materials’ selection using tested and REACH-compliant leathers, reducing water waste during the tanning process. The sneakers’ soles are composed of 31% Amazonian rubber, 22% rice waste, and 12% recycled rubber. Moreover, each pair comes with two pairs of 100% recycled polyester laces – one multicolored and one all white. The new collaboration sneaker model is available for pre-order on Veja-store.com and Marni.com since March 3. From March 11 they will be available at selected retailers across the world, as well as in Veja and Marni flagship stores, at prices from €225 upwards. Source
