Not just for selfies and sunsets, Instagram has become one of the most valuable tools for creative inspiration. Here are our top picks for week, ensuring you get a daily dose of material inspiration from around the globe.

Raffael Payr @lionheaded


Raffael Payr is a Vienna-based editorialist and fashion blogger. His platform, The Lion Headed, began in 2014 out of his love for punk.

According to Payr, his work is high quality fashion and lifestyle embedded into astonishing visual stories; beaming with a simple and sophisticated attitude. “I love the feeling of being on the cutting edge — to stand up front, like a train driver, and witness everything first hand,” says the artist, on Instagram.

Elle Luna @elleluna


Founder of the 100-Day project, Elle Luna painted each and every dream she had for one hundred days straight. The San Francisco–based artist, in partnership with The Great Discontent magazine, was inspired to create by an assignment given to design students at the Yale School of Art. 

"The 100-Day Project is not about fetishizing finished products,” says Elle, on Instagram. “It’s about celebrating the process.” 

Elle believes true creativity in design comes through the art letting go. 

“You show up day after day, even when you’re tired or sick or on vacation."

Inspired by Luna, others have decided to jump on board, and go beyond Day 100. The world is a communal, creative place. 

Ilenia Martini @ilemartini


Based in Berlin, Ilenia Martini is a photographer/interiors enthusiast. Martini was born in Italy, before heading to New York as an art director and all-round creative in Brooklyn. Today, Germany is her temporary home.

Martini's images shift from cool lounge set-ups with illustrious fabrics and vibrant hues. through to "uncluttered" minimalism bedrooms with organic cotton sheets and lightweight throws. 

She also likes to comment on the creative process as part of human nature; often shooting bright images of people and places, which she takes on board as inspiration.

Tappan Collection @tappancollective

Los Angeles natives Chelsea Neman and Jordan Kleinmet at the University of Michigan. The artist and art historian studied together in Michigan’s Tappan Fine Arts Library and within those walls, the two developed their understanding and love for art.

After graduating in 2010, Nemen followed her passion as an artist while Kleinmet pursued a career at an art gallery. With many of their talented friends struggling to exhibit and sell their artwork, the pair created an online platform that would connect emerging artists to art collectors seeking new works - at affordable prices. 

Scoping the local art scenes across the world, Tappan Collection - and their Instagram, is today a collection of cutting-edge work by the next generation of artists.
