Mulberry is known worldwide for its prestigious line of handbags and wallets made of premium materials such as leather. Its legacy endures and it is a leading accessories brand, chosen by more than one celebrity inside and outside the UK. However, times are changing and Mulberry wants to join, as other prestigious brands have done, the sustainable fashion revolution.
For the occasion, they have launched "Tote Mulberry", a line of seven bags made from 100% sustainable leather and recycled polyester. All proceeds will go to the charity "World Land Trust" which fights for the conservation of natural environments through funding. The Tote Bag promises to match anyone's style as its timeless design makes it an accessory that never goes out of style.
The design is available in seven colors and it is impossible to choose just one. Orange is ideal for summer while midnight black or maroon combine perfectly with the most elegant winter looks. There is also an emerald version or a soft Nordic blue, although the brown color makes it an easy bag to combine.
The Mulberry Tote Bag is on sale on the brand's website and it is impossible not to fall for its charms. It is priced at 950 euros and it is worth remembering that it is made of top quality materials and environmental commitment. "The Portobello knows how to preserve the beautiful utility and practicality of this beautiful silhouette, elevating it and making it an elegant, practical bag and, most importantly, made to last," says Johnny Coca, creative director of the brand.
As a member of Leather Working Group, the creation of this avant-garde bag responds to Mulberry's corporate and environmental responsibility commitments. Focused on driving positive and sustainable change within its business model, Mulberry pays attention to and drives significant advances in all areas of its operations. From the design stages to the supply network and manufacturing of each of its collections.
Mulberry Partners with Vestiaire to Sell Second-Hand Leathers
The UK's largest luxury leather goods manufacturer has joined Vestaire Collective's "Brand Approved" program to sell second-hand and reconditioned handbags and other leather goods.
Mulberry began selling second-hand items last year in certain UK stores as part of the "Mulberry Exchange Circular Economy Programme", but the partnership with Vestiaire Collective will allow them to have a wider reach by being available worldwide through their online stores.
The British brand will join Alexander McQueen as one of the first partners of Vestiaire Collective's Brand Approved program. Vestiaire Collective president Fanny Moizant commented that the program aims to highlight the importance of durability in fashion by celebrating garments created to stand the test of time. It’s passionate about supporting brands that strive to incorporate circularity into their business model, so they’re thrilled to welcome Mulberry to the program.
