Jacquard is a type of fabric in which the design is woven into the fibers, rather than being printed on the surface. However, two textiles that are popular for weaving into jacquard are cotton and silk.

What is Cotton Jacquard?

Cotton Jacquard is a lightweight natural jacquard fabric with a beautiful drape and breathable feel. Harnessing the natural softness and comfort of cotton and enhancing it with a beautiful textured pattern. Jacquard made from cotton doesn’t wrinkle, It makes amazing drape, and it is very durable.

If made of the finest Egyptian cotton, this fabric is typically lightweight and has a soft finish, which makes it a perfect match for dresses, skirts, jackets, and trousers.

Hygroscopic, hypoallergenic, and environmentally friendly as any cotton fabric, cotton jacquard is mainly all about its double-sided pattern that can be multicolored or two-tone. It is convex on one side and slightly concave on the other. The colors in such pattern are reflected mirror-like — if there’re dark colors on one side, then on the other side they are bright. The fabric is easy in care: it is machine-washable at 30°C and can be ironed on the inside out.

Cotton Jacquard is frequently used in the apparel market because it is soft, breathable, opaque, and can be worn all year round.
