The new Adidas x Prada Re-Nylon collection celebrates timeless design and advocates awareness for the future of the planet.

The Adidas x Prada Re-Nylon collection is back and bolder than ever in its sustainable claims. In this new release, the collaboration brings us a series of ready-to-wear garments, nicely accompanied by hats, backpacks and bags. If there's one High Street Fashion drop that's always worth talking about, it's the one that has emerged from of the union of Adidas and Prada. Just a few days ago they presented a new chapter of Adidas x Prada Re-Nylon, a collection focused on the commitment of both brands to the future of the environment and the impact of fashion on the planet. In 2019, Prada increased its commitment to sustainability with the launch of its first “Re-Nylon” collection, consisting of five items including bags and belts, all made from recycled nylon textiles. Many celebrities and influencers have been seen with a shoulder bag from that collection slung over their shoulder at least once. Those same sustainable fibres make up the new Adidas x Prada Re-Nylon collection, which ranges from a zip-up jacket with Adidas' signature three stripes to a backpack lined with Prada's signature Saffiano leather. The new offerings will be available in Prada boutiques, on prada.com and at adidas.com/prada. This latest collection, which celebrates timeless design and the struggle to be more “future-conscious”, brings together Prada's expert craftsmanship and Adidas’s signature sportswear innovation. Made from the infinitely recyclable Re-Nylon fabric, this collection includes ready-to-wear, accessories and bags, as well as sophisticated versions of the Adidas Forum High and Low models. The Power of Recycled Nylon Prada's Re-Nylon fabric was first introduced in 2019 as an innovative textile product created by recycling plastic waste collected from the oceans and textile fibre waste. The best thing about this material is that it can be recycled an infinite number of times without losing any of its quality. For the first time in the history of this successful Adidas x Prada collection, it includes ready-to-wear, accessories and bags, as well as upgraded versions of the Adidas Forum High and Low silhouettes. The garments in the collection correspond 100% to the definition of luxury streetwear (or high street fashion), this time with a more sustainable look. As with nylon, polyester is a petroleum-based product with heavy processing and a significant environmental impact. However, technology has advanced sufficiently to be able to create polyester from recycled plastic bottles. Recycled polyester uses 75% less petroleum than virgin polyester, consumes less energy and emits fewer gases in its production. In addition, this process is beneficial because it helps reduce plastic packaging waste by re-using plastic bottles and industrial materials that are melted down and re-processed to create polyester textile fibre. Other benefits of recycled polyester are that it minimises dependence on petroleum, reduces waste, reduces toxic emissions from incinerators, helps promote new streams of recycled materials, and has a less damaging effect on the environment.
