Natural cosmetics retailer The Organic Pharmacy prides itself on phytopharmaceutical formulas and sustainable packaging, which are kind to the environment and consumers’ consciences.

A niche cosmetics brand based in London, The Organic Pharmacy prides itself on producing 100% natural and safe cosmetics and is even used by Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwenyth Paltrow. The story of this brand began in a similar way to many others when Margo Marrone read an article about preservatives and the effects of pesticides on our bodies. She was surprised to learn that in a single apple we can find more than 20 different residues and this obviously created a concern for her. When she became pregnant, that feeling became a necessity and she decided to create her own products, a job that was made easier thanks to her studies in pharmaceutics, homoeopathy and aromatherapy. The company was born out of a desire to help and create better beauty for the skin. Its first shop opened in 2002 on London's Kings Road. Dedicated exclusively to organic products, it was the perfect destination for customers to satisfy all their health and skincare needs. It has a fully stocked homoeopathic and herbal dispensary, a skin clinic and a medical spa. Their extensive health expertise translates into exceptional formulations of all their products, fusing herbal, homoeopathic and cosmetic expertise to create a new standard in beauty and high performance. Since the brand’s inception, The Organic Pharmacy has expanded its product offerings so much that you can now find facial care, body care, bath care, hair care, sun care, baby care, health care, supplements and men's care all based on a very purist philosophy:

No artificial preservatives No artificial colourings No artificial fragrances No petrochemicals No animal testing No ingredients of animal origin

The Organic Pharmacy is proud of its commitments, of having among its suppliers the best local producers, local farms that base their production on good ecological, energetic and fair trade practices and that obtain ingredients of the highest quality and purity. It works with a supply chain that cares about its environment because they know that contaminated soil gives rise to contaminated plants, so all its practices are sustainable from the zero stage of its creation to the end.

The Organic Pharmacy’s Completely Eco-friendly Make-Up The Organic Pharmacy (which also produces Bio Organic Glam make-up), is committed to using organic plant extracts and vegetable oils from organic sources in the highest possible percentage so that most of its products are 95-99.9% organic and all of them are covered by the strict certification of the Organic Soil Association. Like the rest of the organic cosmetics in its selection, they do not use artificial preservatives, fragrances or colourings of chemical origin and, of course, they do not experiment on animals, certified Cosmetique Bio as well as Ecocert.   About Cosmetique Bio All cosmetics contain between 50% and 80% water and this water cannot be certified as organic. So, excluding water, a cosmetic with the Cosmetique Bio label must contain:

A minimum of 95% natural ingredients or ingredients of natural origin. A minimum of 95% of the total plant ingredients are certified as organic.

This must represent a contribution of at least 10% of the total ingredients of the cosmetic, including water. Some types of cosmetics are required to have 20% of the total.   About Cosmos Organic - Ecocert Cosmic Organic - Ecocert is an independent certification body that checks the quality of products from different industries and, if they meet the requirements, gives them their organic certificate. It is one of the best known and most highly rated certifying bodies. Its certificates guarantee and promote environmentally friendly practices. Ecocert certificates are aimed at a wide range of industries, from agri-food to textiles, including cosmetic brands with the Ecocert seal and, of course, organic cleaning products. To qualify for the Ecocert label for Natural Detergents made with Organic Ingredients, the final product must contain at least:
