IOTA has launched its latest innovation, the Digital Product Passport (DPP) for electronics, marking a significant stride in sustainable recycling and lifecycle management. This new prototype, developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Catalonia and eReuse, aims to revolutionize transparency and traceability in electronic device recycling.

The DPP, part of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) initiative, leverages IOTA's blockchain technology to provide detailed product information throughout a device's lifecycle. This follows IOTA's earlier Battery DPP initiative, which laid the groundwork for improved sustainability practices.

Currently, IOTA is seeking commercial partnerships to bring the DPP technology to market, reflecting a broader push to integrate blockchain solutions into environmental sustainability efforts. This move aligns with IOTA's commitment to enhancing product lifecycle management and expanding its influence in the electronics sector.

As of the latest update, IOTA’s cryptocurrency is trading at $0.1297, marking a 1.33% increase over the past day but a 13.90% decline over the past week.
